• Dear Support,

    I am using Delicate theme.
I am using a static front page.
I have created one page per language.
I checked ‘Front page displays a static page’ and choose one of the page I have just created.
Polylang Version I am using 1.1.6

I have not change anything in the polylang/polylang.php file.
    Permalinks structure: /%category%/%postname%

I have three flags: German is the standard language. With the standard language, there is no issue. If I click on the German flag, I get the German page/translation, but if click on the French or the English flag I get No posts found, categories, Archive..
But I see all the flags and its titles in the menü and if I click on the title it directs me to the right page, but if i click on the flag it directs me to No posts found, categories, Archive..and in the URL it shows me http://example.de/en or http://example.de/fr depending on the fla I clicked.

Maybe becuause I do not have a page for this link: http://example.de/en or http://example.de/fr . Thisis maybe why it shows No posts found, categories, Archive..

at the moment I cannot post the URL as the website ist still in the building phase and not yet finished.

I tried other themes like Twenty Thirteen, twenty Elven, but with these themes polylang does not work at atll with my site. With Delicate at least I can see all the languages and the only problem is when cklicking the flag- the corresponding page does not appear.

I disabled all the plugins and tried again, but it did not help.

    I would appreciate your support.

    Thanks in advance

Have you created posts in all languages?

By default http://example.de/fr should display latest posts in French. If there are none, then you get the 404.

You can decide that this link diplay the static front French page instead by activating the option “When using static front page, redirect the language page (example: http://localhost/test-flabellina.com/wp37/en/) to the front page in the right language” in Polylang settings.

In any case, when using a static front page, you must make sure that it is translated in all languages.

Thanks for the prompt reply. I am still fighting with this issue for 3 days.
I do not want to post blogs, but I want to create a static homepage with pages/articles and without any blogs/posts or comments.

I have just upgraded Polylang into 1.2.1 Version, but I still have the same issue.

The permalinks I opted for is http://example.de/en/

I can send the link to the homepage, if you provide me with an email.

Thanks again in advance for your support.

I created five pages/articles for every language and I can see the URL e.g. http://example.de/about-us and it content/article, but I see no posts found as an output for http://example.de/en. How come?

Did you check “When using static front page, redirect the language page (example: http://localhost/test-flabellina.com/wp37/en/) to the front page in the right language” in Polylang settings?

Yes, I checked it and unchecked it, but it does not change anything. The issue is still persisting!!
The standard Language I am using is German.

Hi Chouby, as I said I checked When using static front page, redirect the language page to the front page in the right language i Polylang Setting. But this did not help. Do you have any other suggestions? Thanks

I tested it with another “Twenty Ten” theme and I get the same result when clicking the English or French flag.
The message I receive”Not Found Apologies, but no results were found for the requested archive. Perhaps searching will help find a related post”.
    with German it works fine.
