• I imported a blog inot WordPress from blogger with no issues.

I tried a couple of templates and got a File not found message on the front page. I found a couple of templates that showed 10 recent posts, and links to HOME ABOUT and ARCHIVES. Everything looked fine…BUT no links or comments are active, despite the fact that they area all accessible in the dashboard.

When I click on one I get an Internet Explorer cannot display webpage message.

From the reading I was able to do, I found that this must be a permalink problem, but I do not know how to/understand how to fix it.

If I could get simplified directions, I’d appreciate it!
I was considering simply deleting the entries and copying and pasting, but that would be tedious.

… and if it is truly a Permalinks issue wouldn’t help!

So first off, visit Settings -> Permalinks and set them back to Default and save.

Does that help with the links?

No; in fact, I never did change the default permalinks setting. I did, after reading some posts here, go in and SAVE CHANGES, but saw no change to my ability to access links. I just checked it again and it is still set on default. I saved changes again. Still no links.

I can only speculate that this was caused by the blogger import. I cannot travel to a second page (a “more” link), to an about or home page link, or comments. As I said before, some templates won’t even show any text entries.

I’ve read the permalink files up here and attempted some fixes through the htaccess file, but they had no affect. I’m not well versed in code, though I figure things out as I go.
