Fixing my Theme in IE

This isn’t my site (mine is down) but it uses the same theme as I do.

When you hover over links in the sidebar, the boxing goes all wonky. Try it yourself on the site above.

The author suggests some CSS fixes that he never tried, but I tried them and they don’t work.

So…. Any Kung Fu masters know anything that can fix this (ugly hack would even be nice).
