• Hi,
I checked my security score of my server with https://www.immuniweb.com/websec

The scanner found some components outdated.
This components are not a plugin name installed so i cannot fix simply removing the plugin because i don’t have relative plugin.

Any idea where i can look inside WordPress for remove this three components?
I have also to understand if some components can be of the current theme in use or just plugin.. something that has not fully removed when i unistalled some plugins.

“Gumby” is a theme development framework, so I’d check with the developers of your theme to see if there’s an update available.

Hi @sterndata thank you for your reply!
The strange things is i have the same theme in more than one website and in another website i don’t find Gumby component outdated from the security scanner.

For the other components have idea on how i can fix?
There is a component “custom scrollbar plugins” that i think is a residue of https://wordpress.org/plugins/nicescrollr/ but i have already removed this plugin. I’m not using anymore so why this component is found and how to fix?

I think i will maybe never find a solution for this. Strange WordPress never have a page that check this and allow to manage this… maybe will be to complex monitor component installed by extensions. When an extension is removed should not let residues.

currently you will always have superfluous code (anything that modifies the content of a post, writes to the database and / or creates a folder / file) to delete all the data if the programmer writes it clarified on his code, you have to disable from the dashboard and then click delete data but this is valid only when the programmer says it otherwise it is more likely to have superfluous code for life.

uninstall.php good code, register_uninstall_hook bad code.
