# Fix for HTTPS

 * this plugin doesn’t work correctly on HTTPS sites as it loads [http://www.statcounter.com/counter/counter_xhtml.js](http://www.statcounter.com/counter/counter_xhtml.js)
   while it should load [https://secure.statcounter.com/counter/counter_xhtml.js](https://secure.statcounter.com/counter/counter_xhtml.js).

 * In case of need, here’s the fixed plugin file: [StatCounter-Wordpress-Plugin.php – With SSL support](http://pastebin.com/XjRVnmxX)
 * Just replace the original one with the one in the pastebin. Patched version will
   detect SSL and select the appropriate URL automatically.

 * Hello,
 * On our website, [pgcs](https://www.pgcs.nl) we get an error in statcounter. It
   says: Unable to access website.
    I do not know that this is due the https or 
   something else.
 * I tried the solotion at this post ([http://pastebin.com/XjRVnmxX](http://pastebin.com/XjRVnmxX))
   but that did not help.
 * What could be wrong?
