Fix for Cannot redeclare class pclzip

    I’m getting the following error when trying to upgrade to 2.7.1 using the upgrade feature.

    Fatal error: Cannot redeclare class pclzip in /employmentdigest/www.employmentdigest.net/wp-admin/includes/class-pclzip.php on line 171

    How do I fix this?

    Sorry – I did not find the fix for this in the forum. I deleted the upgrade plugin and it works fine…

    I had the same problem and also had the “WordPress Automatic Upgrade” plug-in installed. I wasn’t using it to upgrade. Deactivating the plug-in fixed the problem.

    I had a similar error when trying to install the Earth Hour plugin and a trackback spam plugin. Deactivating the WordPress Automatic Upgrade plugin fixed the problem for me too.

    Thanks. I had the error when installing Contact Form 7. Deactivating the WordPress Automatic Upgrade plugin fixed that issue for me too.
