Support » Plugin: Annual Archive » First two years missing in Archive. Is there a limit?

  • Resolved MY_RhAF_eV

    Dear support/development team,

I just downloaded your plug-in, Annual Archives, after our own archive in the menu stopped working normally (for unknown reasons). Good news is: the plug-in is very easy to config and use. But links to 2006 and 2007 is missing. Is it due to a limit of archives available to show? I upped the number accordingly, still the two first years are missing. Or am I missing something?
Our own IT experts are not available for various reasons, and I’m pretty much trying to solve problems and create some progress DIY. So I hope there’s not too much (complex) coding involved.

Thank you very much for providing that useful plug-in, and I hope to find some solution for my problem.

    Best regards,

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

are you sure there are posts available for 2006 and 2007?

There should be. When you enter let’s say “2006” in the search-bar (above right), the regarding posts actually do appear, same when searching for “2007”. I already checked what has been clicked on within the posts in 2006 and posts in recent years. The settings are the same, so maybe the problems is somewhere with categories, linking, or something like that.
Sorry for my amateur-ish elaborations on that matter. Do you have some guideline on how archives and their sources should usually be set up and interconnected, so that I could read through the texts and compare it to the actual situation? (just an idea)

Sorry for the delay. Regarding the posts that are part of the search results for 2006… can you verify that:
    1. they are actually ‘posts’ and not ‘pages’ or some other custom post type
    2. the actual published date is in 2006.

The fact is, to WordPress, there were no posts published in 2006 or 2007.

issue marked as resolved. if you have more to add, we’ll reopen it.

thank you very much for your reply. I think you’ve solved my problem by your 2nd question. I did open a post from 2008, seeing the publication date being in 2012. Therefore I assumed, that it shouldn’t be the issue, since 2008 does appear in the archive. But I have checked that post again specifically, and it indeed does not appear in the archive. I changed the publication date accordingly, now it does appear, also posts from 2006 (which were dated to 2012) do also now appear in 2006, after I corrected the publication date.

Thank you alot for the support !!!

    Best regards
