She has a domain all set up and I am in the process of trying to design her site for her. I have set up a database with the server. I have set up the MySQL settings in my wp-config.php file and uploaded to here directory. I’ve checked and rechecked the settings and everything looks right. Now this is where I am probably dense, the instructions tell me to “open /wp- admin/install.php in your browser”, does that mean that I just type that into the browser or is that at the end of herdomain.com?? I don’t understand how typing that into the browser will get me to her files?? I am using 1and1.com as a server, have you had any problems or conflicts with them?? Is that true or do I need to design the blog page separately. Don’t use DW for editing the WP theme files – it will screw up everything. 2. I guess my problem is that according to the install instructions I should at least get some sort of login page to put in a login and password, but I am not getting that. You just confused everybody here by starting to talk about “design” when your problem is to make a standard installation. 3. There are no files, there nothing at the domain you gave above. 4.
