It depends on how you’ve set up your local hosting. Check with the docs for your tool.

I’m new to this. Where do I check the docs? Wp-content?

No. How did you set up local hosting?

Thanks for responding. I set it for multiple website and read the doc that was shown right away. I views it with a link shown but when trying next day it asked me to choose a base URL. I don’t know what to do.

    >> I set it for multiple webs<<

What is “it” that you set? That’s what I’ve been asking. You need to consult the documentation for that.

I installed DesktopServer on my computer. When I proceeded to preview WP-admin text with a browser, I am presented with the question: “enter a base URL, e.g. http://localhost:8000?” I do not understand the significance of that “8000.” How do I know what number to put there? For example, is http://localhost:3000 ok?

Ignore the the ampsand pound 8221. My end quote was forced to that.
