first item not picking up colors after v1.5.1

On WordPress 3.5, since updating to the-events-calendar-category-colors v1.5.1 when I have multiple events in the same category displaying on the same month’s calendar view, the first event does not pick up the color settings.
This is not on a public site, so a URL won’t help but here’s a screenshot.

First item in sequence of 3, all in the same event category, all should be red background – white text.
