Here's the painful part. I am volunteering at a non-profit clinic to help them figure out how to update their website. I was given the ropes on this WordPress software that they use to run it. I was looking around and trying to figure stuff out, and on my first day, I crashed their website. Not sure how I did it yet.
I actually don't know which version was running because it crashed and I can't look. I was trying to activate a plug-in, or update one, and it crashed the website. When I login now, it brings me to a blank page instead of the dashboard. If you visit the site, it is down. They need this site to be working.
I need to talk to a WordPress employee on the phone. This clinic pays them for the website hosting, I believe. Not sure how all of that works yet. I believe they should be able to contact someone from this company. They cannot afford people who know what they are doing to run the website or do IT stuff, like use FTP to change files around or what not. They need support from Word Press.
Please give me some idea of how to begin to deal with this. I am mortified now. If you are an employee, please email me.
