Support » Plugin: WP jQuery Lightbox » First clicked image does not work, but all subsequent image clicks work fine

  • When clicking on the an image on a page for the first time after the page loads, the image does not display in lightbox, but rather displays in a separate browser page. I’m wondering if there is a way to call lightbox when the page loads, without actually showing an image, in order to simulate a first click. Note this theme loads the page content dynamically.

    Steps to reproduce:
    1- goto thetruantslive.com

2- click on the “Meet the Truants” main menu item

3- click on any one of the 5 images

4- notice that the image does NOT display in lightbox, but displays in the browser instead

5- now click the Back button to return to the page, click on another link. Notice this works fine and all subsequent image clicks work fine.

6- To see the problem again, go back to step 1

  • I found a fix for this problem. I had to include
    <script>…jquery.lightbox.min.js</script>
in the page content itself. I think the dynamic content loading theme I’m using is getting in the way somehow.
