• Hello,

I’m trying to use this plugin on a local WordPress project, but I’m running into a couple of issues, and I think it’s because I’m running Windows.

Some of the images Firestudio is trying to load are attempting to load via the file:// protocol. Not allowed to load local resource: file:///C:/laragon/www/SITE_DIR/wp-content/plugins/firestudio/features/admin-modal/img/firestudio-22x22.png. I’ve configured this site as a virtual host via apache (so I’m accessing the site via http://whatever.com in my browser).

I can’t bring up the Firestudio modal at all. When I click Firestudio in the admin bar, nothing comes up. In fact I see a bunch of Firestudio stuff way at the bottom of the page.

I am pretty confident this is a Windows-specific issue, rather than a local development issue. I’m experiencing these issues locally, as well as on a production site that lives on a Windows-based web-server.

    Cheers

Hi @pixelbrad! Thanks for reporting this issue. I’d definitely like to solve this issue but will need some more help understanding how you run your setup.

I think this is directly related to how FireStudio resolves a public URL from an absolute server path. Seems like my logic there is broken. If you could give me more information about what your network panel is reporting. Just screenshot the network panel maybe?

    Hey Josh,

I’m not sure which network panel you’re referring to.

No worries. I’m getting Release 1.3 ready. This will solve the problem you are having on windows.
