Firefox crashing

I am having an issue with Mozilla Firefox. Firefox is the browser that I use ordinarily. After months of happily blogging, I now can no longer upload a picture to my blog. Whenever I try, it crashes Firefox. This doesn’t happen when I use Internet Explorer. I disabled google gears and cleared my cache and read the forums but I haven’t run into anybody else having this same issue. Does anybody out there have any ideas?
