In recent versions of Firefox I’ve been getting the following console warning (it also happens to all cookielawinfo -related cookies):

Cookie “viewed_cookie_policy” will be soon rejected because it has the “SameSite” attribute set to “None” or an invalid value, without the “secure” attribute. To know more about the “SameSite“ attribute, read https://developer.mozilla.org/docs/Web/HTTP/Headers/Set-Cookie/SameSite

It seems Mozilla is changing the default SameSite policy, and it seems Google is doing the same in Chrome.

I’m certain you are aware of this change. Do you plan to comply by adding the SameSite attribute to cookies set by CookieYes in future versions of the plugin?

    Hi @nunks,

    Thanks for reaching out.

As we require to read the values of those cookies via javascript, it is not possible to set the. cookies as secure. Additionally, we have noticed that many popular services like google tag manager also set the cookies as insecure.

Rest assured, we will do some research and make changes if feasible.
