• Hi. Recently I bought a WordPress theme to do a website, but I think I might have bought the wrong one πŸ™

What we want with a website is to have a front page where people can log in, and also that has 3 elements on it (other than the header and footer):
    1. Donate
    2. Register/Login
    3. Merchandise

#1 and #3 will use our paypal account with WooCommerce (assuming that’s the best/easiest to setup). #2 will require an admin to accept them as a registered user upon registration and then allow them to subsequently log in.

Once a person gets logged in, we’d like the main page to contain buttons/links to other pages, e.g. Meeting Schedule, Gardening, Hunting, etc. Each of those buttons/links would go to the associated pages with blogs of those subjects and also have possible chat/discussions associated with them.

Can anyone recommend a theme that is essentially fairly simple to setup/use?

    Thank you.

  • The things you describe are not theme issues — any theme will do. You just have to BUILD your site features — pages, navigation, call-to-action buttons, etc — as you’ve described. Think of this as building a lego house, brick by brick. You may need a plugin or two along the way.

My advice: start building the site, feature by feature, one step at a time. And ask specific questions if you get stuck along the way. No theme is going to come set up exactly as you’ve described — because, again, that’s not what themes are for.
