 * Due to an SEO analysis finding, I have found in my source code, a line of code
   referring to the image with the missing alt. It is:
 * ![](https://i0.wp.com/www.glfisherman.com/staging/wp-content/uploads/2022/10/
   My-project.png?ssl=1)
 * It’s not causing an issue (other than the lower SEO score), but it’s driving
   me crazy that I can’t find where this is being driven from. I have done a search
   on my wordpress directory and only 1 cache file has the image name in it (“My-
   project”). Any thoughts on where this might have come from. I am unfamiliar with
   how wordpress creates the index file from the various code files.
 * Thanks!
 * The page I need help with: _[[log in](https://login.wordpress.org/?redirect_to=https%3A%2F%2Fwordpress.org%2Fsupport%2Ftopic%2Ffinding-link-in-source-code%2F%3Foutput_format%3Dmd&locale=en_US)
   to see the link]_

 * Sorry, the code is:
    img src=”[https://www.glfisherman.com/staging/wp-content/uploads/2022/10/My-project.png&#8221](https://www.glfisherman.com/staging/wp-content/uploads/2022/10/My-project.png&#8221);

 * Thanks for the response. The image has been deleted from the directory. It literally
   doesn’t exist anywhere at this point. So how is it that the source code shows
   it when all of the files in my directory make no mention of it? Again, I ran
   a scan of all files in my directory and the only place that file is referenced
   is in a cache file. I even deleted that file, but it keeps regenerating. I’d
   like to eliminate the reference altogether but I don’t know how.

 * Actually – I just found it. It was an old element that buried in my popup sidebar.
   Thanks again for the help!
