I figured this out. It is conflicting with floating social bar.

That looks like a JavaScript clash for sure. I haven’t looked at the code, but I’d guess the two scripts are using the same variable name for the counter.

Why? Because floating social bar is the most lightweight plugin for social sharing I’ve found, YOur plugin is the most lightweight colorbox / lightbox I’ve found so I’d hate to give up either one.
No. That would be a problem with the Colorbox script, not this plugin. You could try asking the Colorbox script author for assistance perhaps. If they update the script, I will update the plugin accordingly.
