Finding and editing BBPress template files with BuddyPress

I have a multisite install, with BuddyPress and BBPress, global forums. Where can I find and edit the BBPress theme that’s being used? Where is that defined?

I’m trying to figure out how to modify some of the text in the forums (maybe through the BBPress language file?) , and ran across BBPress themes in the process. I created a .mo file from the file /plugins/bbpress/bbp-languages/bbpress.pot, though I’m not sure how to make it register. Any ideas?
