Support » Installing WordPress » Finding a WordPress RSS URL that actually works

  • Hi. I have just installed a web parser into my homepage and tested it with one of CNN’s RSS URLs and it works great. But when I try any of the WordPress RSS URLs in the same parser, non of them ever work?

CNN’s RSS URL’s end in the extension: .rss, whereas WordPress’s don’t. That’s the obvious difference to me, but I’m new to this and don’t understand the variations. Can someone please shed some light on this for me. Many thanks…

Thanks for that. I have tried with your example plus other combinations and it just keeps returning this error:

    ‘Failed to Get RSS Data

An error was ecnountered attempting to get the RSS data: The server did not return XML. The content type returned was text/html; charset=UTF-8′

This is what is confusing me?

    Many thanks..

    Do you have any posts?

And can you give us your real URL? If not, view the page source and look for the RSS info. It’ll be in the header area.

Hi. I discovered that there was actually something wrong with the installation of the application after all, but used your suggestion to check the RSS info, so thanks for that.
