Support » Everything else WordPress » Find Unused CSS

  • Hi All,

I’m looking for a tool, that is up to date, that will take a URL e.g. http://www.website.com and a CSS file, and tell me which CSS is not being used anywhere on the site.

I could also do with a tool that will tell me where selectors are being declared more than once in a number of files if possible. I know that I have a custom.css file that uses the !important tag, but should really go back and remove the ones that exist in other files.

    Thanks
    Dvent

Don’t know of any and wouldn’t recommend doing that kind of thing anyway. Those files will get replaced anyway when the theme/plugin/WP is updated.

There used to be a Firefox add-on that did something like this from somewhere like brothercake. Not sure if it’s still around though. Sorry to be so vague but it’s a while since I had it installed.

I do think your best bet would to look for a browser tool for this, though.
