Filters for NextGen plug-in

    I have customized my NextGen plug-in and still want to update it to the most recent version for the new content, however it will delete the customized content I added. How do I add filters to keep what I have added so when I update the plug-in doesn’t delete all my files and reload the new ones?

    From what I have researched…nextgen uses the functions wp_tag_cloud and wp_generate_tag_cloud from category-template.php. I’m not sure if I have to modify those in this update process or not.
