Support » Plugin: Groups » Filtering products by category doesn’t work

Filtering products by product category in woocommerce admin panel doesn’t work. I select a category with 300+ products but it filters only one. In order to display all filtered products I have to filter by the product category then filter by group “any” and then remove the group “any” from selection and hit filter again.
Only then I get correct results.
If I go from Categories and hit the product counter of each category then I get correct results also.

    Any suggestion for that matter?

    Hi there,

I tried to replicate the issue described using latest version of Groups plugin 2.11.1 first with WooCommerce 4.6.2 and then 4.8.0 but in any case I get all products under the filtered category while Groups filter is not set. When Groups filter is set to (any) I can only see one product, which again corresponds to my setup having one product being restricted by Groups.

Please make sure to update to the latest version of Groups and then repeat the filtering process. If there is anything logged on your debug.log after that or in general related to Groups plugin, you may mention it here.

    Kind regards,

Assuming that your question is about access restrictions placed on certain products by group (not group memberships assigned to users based on products purchased).

In order to display all filtered products

Your notion of “all filtered products” is probably not in line with how Groups handles the filter.

    – To show all products whether they are restricted to any groups or not, you would simply leave the Groups filter field empty.
    – To only show products to which access is restricted by any group, you would choose (any) in the Groups filter field.
    – To only show products that have no access restriction in place based on any group, you would choose (none) in the Groups filter field.
    – And of course if you select one or more groups in the Groups filter field, you will have those products included which have access restrictions set based on those.

You can first choose a category and filter, then choose the Groups filter or the other way around, you will end up seeing those products that belong to the selected category and to which access is restricted by the chosen groups.
