Support » Plugin: Gravity Forms: Post Updates » Filtering author on edit?

  • This is a great plugin – thank you for your hard work on it!

Is there any way to change/filter the author value on edit please? I have a multi-author setup, but when an admin(or other user) edits the post, they get set as the author and I want to retain the original author.

I basically want to just retain the original author value that is currently set on the post, rather than change it to the person currently editing the post. I’ve had a good look through the code, but don’t seem to be able to locate this functionality sorry ;(

Currently Gravity Forms only allows to set a default author or the current user. I will have to look at adding a filter to keep the current author.

After some testing, I am actually not seeing this. It is currently set to retain the original author actually. Let me know if you are still seeing something different. I may need to know more though.
