Support » Plugin: WOOF - Products Filter for WooCommerce » Filter on category redirects to shop home

  • Hello,

I am having an issue with using filters on category pages.

My website uses multiple categories (men, women, kids, etc) to display products only in those categories. The filters on the category pages are set up using [woof] shortcodes and the products display in [woof_products] shortcodes.

The problem is that when a filter is selected and the filter button is pressed, the website redirects to the shop home page with the selected filters applied.

How I stop this? I need the website to stay so the page that the filter was selected on, not redirect to a different page.

I have tried the following suggestions that I found on other posts, but none are working:
    – adding a “woocommerce” or “woocommerce-shop” tag to the <body> element
    – adding a redirect in the woof shortcode, e.g. redirect=”/product-category/ducks/”
    – changing to a basic wordpress theme

What is the best way to proceed?

    Thank you,
    James

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hello

    Try in Advanced->Options – https://share.stackovergo.com/image/i20211001162626.png

    Hello,

Using this option the website redirects to the subcategory page.

For example, on the mens category page, if i select “Knitwear” it then redirects to the knitwear subcategory page.

When selecting “Knitwear” as a filter on the mens category page, I need the site to stay on the mens category page with the knitwear filter selected.

I have left the option you suggested turned on so that you can see the effect.

    Hello James

Unfortunately it won’t work any differently.

it depends on the product display template

    Hello,

What do you mean by the display template? We are using the [woof_products] shortcode to display the products.

We are using Astra theme, but have also tried using the basic WordPress themes (such as sixteen) and still the same problem.

    Hello

The filter uses the shop template to display the results. Because if there is a taxonomy in the GET request, WordPress redirects to the archive page.

You can try this plugin – https://wordpress.org/plugins/avalon23-products-filter-for-woocommerce/ – this filter has a different behavior, I think it will work for you
