 * Hi,
 * I have around 20 events created, and the half are in the second page. If I am
   viewing the first page and I filter, only the courses that are in the first page
   are displayed, and I have to click on the second page aiming to see the rest 
   of the events that belongs to that category. The right should be that, IF I filter
   and there are only 5 events that belongs to that category filtered, the five 
   events must be displayed in the first page..

 * You can use the show attribute in your shortcode to controlling the display of
   the number of events on the firstpage.
 * [event-list show=50]
 * Its means 50 events will be displayed on the first page. So you can use this 
   attribute with your own number to fix this issue.
