# Filter by date error

 * Hi,
 * I am having some trouble with filtering records based on “Date Updated”. I have
   tried using the “Greater Than”, “Less Than” and “Is” filters but none seem to
   give the expected result – “Greater Than” returns everything, “Less Than” and“
   Is” return nothing. I am entering dates in the same form as they are displayed(
   dd-mm-yyyy).
 * Any idea what might be going wrong?

 * I noticed that the dates are displayed based on the format set for WordPress,
   but the format chosen to enter the dates could be different.
 * Go to [http://[your](http://[your) site]/wp-admin/admin.php?page=participants-
   database_settings_page and look at the setting for “strict” and “Input date format]

 * I have had some success with entering the dates in the form day, month name, 
   year. I have not found a setting that allows dates to be entered as dd-mm-yyyy.

 * Have you tried using the date in “american” format in the filter? Either that
   or use the month name…
 * both of these should work:
