  • That is very odd… The logic should only scan your servers file system. What does the path to your video file look like e.g.

    /public_html/mysite/wp-content/updloads/myvideo.mp3

In the view file list scan results?

It seems strange that when you do have images or videos on your site and then if you delete them from the page or the media library, they are still on the server in the upload directory.
I have tried to use WP-Clone, All-In One Migrator and Duplicator.
It would seem every one of these creates backup files that include each others files.

I think you have a statement and a question?

    1. Deleting images/videos from media library: WP should remove the files when you delete them, unless somehow your running into a permissions error where it only deletes the database entry to the file, you may have to search the forums to see find the answer for that one…

    2. Other backups: Yes the backup files for Duplicator will be unaware of other plugin backups. However you can use file filters to exclude various extensions and directory paths.
