    I’m a UpdraftPlus user for many yrs and have it installed on some 80+ sites, recently noticed that NONE of my WP installs are having successful File/Database backups to my Amazon S3 account. Database ONLY backups work fine.
    All full (Files) backups seem to fail or hang around the 30-35% done spot.
    Log files do NOT show any errors or warnings.
    This all seemed to start about a month ago, full backups were working before that.
    I’ve turned on DEBUG but there doesn’t seem to be any info about the hang/halt of the backup.
    I’ve checked the Updraft log files but can’t find anything wrong.
    I’ve checked with my hosting support and they don’t see any issues that would prevent the completion of the FILES backup, especially since the Database ones go through successfully.
    Hoping someone has some thoughts on this.

    Side note that should have been included:
    – ALL plugins, themes, WordPress are up to date with the latest updates.
    – I have quite fast (reseller level) hosting
    – PHP settings are mostly PHP 7.4 on most sites, with a few still using PHP5.6
    Database backups are quick and never fail.
    NONE of the Files Backups succeed on any of the other 80+ sites.

    Hi,

    Apologies for the delay over the weekend.

    Please could you send us a copy of the latest full backup log?
    This can be found in the UpdraftPlus Existing Backups tab.The contents will be too long to post here directly, but you can use an online service such as Dropbox or Pastebin, and post the link here.

    Thanks… since this is effecting ALL of my sites that use UpdraftPlus and since it ONLY affects the full FILES backups, I’m sending my the log file from the last attempt at a full backup (I’ve needed to shut down all of the “hung” backups early as they go for days like that). The log abruptly stops midway, with NO warnings/errors… it just stops and never resumes.

    NOTE:
    1 – Since there are NO FILES backups recently that have completed I am using the “Download most recently modified log file” link beside the “hung” last attempt.
    2 – I had turned on the DEBUG feature from within the UpdraftPlus Advanced menu, therefore the log file is HUGE.

    The fact that it never resumes indicates that WP Cron is broken on the site. Scheduled tasks don’t run. I suggest installing a free plugin like WP Crontrol and looking at the list of scheduled tasks in your WP install, to see what’s happening to them.
