File upload src doesn’t have http:// at start

We have a form that allows the user to upload an image and we were able to display the image on a page but upon checking the “Src” it doesn’t contain https:// so basically it only displays <img src="//websiteurl.com/imgurl.jpg" />.

Is there a way to have https: at the start of the src?
