When attempting to upload and attach files I get an error on some. There is no detail, it just says error. In the media library, the files are there, but I cannot see the preview of them.

Are you using the unreleased version from GitHub or version 1.0.2? The unreleased version (that I am planning to release today actually) has a different way to attach a PDF file to the form. If you are still using the old version, try updating once I do the release.

Another idea is that this error can be related to the maximum upload file size setting on the server. How big are your PDF files?

I can potentially take a look at your issue if you send me your wp-login details to my admin at maximum dot software email.

Thanks for the response. I updated and it’s working now. I do like the download link option, but it just shows the text in the response – it’s not an actual link. Is there a way to make it clickable?

I’ve realized after the release that there is a bug with the download link. The plugin doesn’t always send the HTML response like it should with AJAX. I’ve committed a fix to the GitHub repo (https://github.com/maximum-software/wpcf7-pdf-forms) but I didn’t release it yet. Try downloading the latest unreleased version (https://github.com/maximum-software/wpcf7-pdf-forms/archive/master.zip) and using it.

Thanks! I’ve downloaded and installed the unreleased version and it still doesn’t seem to be creating the link.

Very strange. Do you mind sending me a temporary wp-admin login to admin at maximum dot software? I would like to debug the plugin in place to figure out why it is sending the plain text version of the response instead of the HTML version.

    Done.

Looks like your problem was that you installed the plugin twice. The second (fixed, unreleased) version was not enabled. I would just remove the old plugin folder completely, so that there is no conflict.

I will release a new version which will have this fix shortly.

Oh, oops. Thank you very much for your help.
