# File upload doesn’t work

 * We have the problem that the file upload in our forms only works with files up
   to a maximum of 2MB.
    The size in the file upload field is set to 16MB and the
   maximum upload size to the server is also set to 16MB. I can upload images or
   PDF files in this size in our media library without any problems, but not in 
   the forms.

 * Hi,
 * I have chosen the file form-tag and set this options:
    [file* Bewerbungsunterlagen
   limit:15MB filetypes:.pdf]
 * I have also this content in the Form Tab panel:
    Honeypot password Text E-Mail
   URL Telefon Zahl Datum Textfeld Drop-Down Menü Checkboxen Radio-Buttons Zustimmung
   Quiz Datei Senden

 * What happens if you change the form-tag to `[file* Bewerbungsunterlagen limit:
   16mb filetypes:pdf]` ?

 * I have also tested that, it didn’t work too.
 * I think there is a problem with sending the form. When I add the documents to
   the field it still works, the error occurs only by sending the form.
    When I 
   change the upload size to 5MB and try to add a pdf with 8 MB, then I directly
   get the message that the document is too big. But in my case I only get the error
   message when try to submit the form.

 * Hi,
 * thank you for your support.
    We have now been able to find and solve the problem.
   It had to do with the mail sizes of our server.
