    Hey all,

I’m hosting a wordpress site on apache2 via directadmin.. I’m unable to access the webpage due to the file permissions..

I’ve set all directories to 755, and all files to 644 except wp-config.php I set it to 750…

I’m unable to load the webpage at all, however soon as I change the permissions to certain point everything is fine.. Problem is.. I don’t know exactly where everything should be set.

Another thing that has been happening that I feel is probably due to permissions also is that everytime I want to get a plugin I have to type my FTP password in…

    Hello,

I did read that.. I am posting here because I followed that by making all directories 755, and all files 644 as it states except wp-config.php, and the web page won’t load.. :/

    Can you give a URL?

however soon as I change the permissions to certain point everything is fine

What permissions are set at this point? If you can get to a position where the site works I wouldn’t worry about the permissions (others will probably disagree) as it is clear that the normal settings are not working anyway.

I have everything set at 755, and 644, and it works! I’m sorry.. Dumbie me.. I forgot to do the actual public_html directory!

    Thanks for providing this service!
