[resolved] File Permission error (4 posts)

I've been having some issues with file permissions within WordPress lately. It's now gotten to the point where the CSS has been striped out. I tried reverting back to the original permission mode, but the formatting hasn't reverted back. So I'm stcuck again.

This is the error that I received:
"You need to make this file writable before you can save your changes. See the Codex for more information."

I've tried all sorts of different file permission modes, from the this popular WordPress link, http://codex.wordpress.org/Changing_File_Permissions, to recommendations from other WordPress sites. 466, 776, etc. None of them seem to allow me to edit my style.css file directly in the WordPress editor anymore. Anyone have any suggestions? As a last note, I noticed that the issue first came about when I ugraded my PHP version from 4 to 5.

Here's some info for the site:
    Host: Dotster
    FTP: FileZilla
    website: kivertslaw.com/wp

Any thoughts or suggestions will help! Thanks.

Try 777 on the theme files only.

Thanks for the help. Changing the file permission helped.
