    Hi,

    I’d like to know if there is a way to automatically assign the ownership of a filed uploaded by frontend to the current logged-in user.

    Or a possible turnaround.

    Hi,

    Yes, you can set a “default” ownership (for instance for files), in settings -> WP Customer Area -> Private Files -> default.

    You can also completely hide the owner selection box. To do so, you will need to disable the permission that allows a subscriber to select an owner in Settings -> WP Customer Area -> Permissions -> Private Files.
