Support » Fixing WordPress » File Not Permitted Error When Uploading 3gpp Video

  • After reading the forums on this matter, I have found the list of acceptable files in the function.php file. However, I am not sure this is what I should be doing. My plan is to add the 3gpp video to the list, but I don’t know what to type. Also, those posts were mostly written by network admins. I don’t know if I understood the other posts.

Would someone show me what to do with this section of the php file, or is this the wrong section or the wrong file?

    Thank you!

  • Is there anyone who can help me with this? I need to learn to do this, but the existing archive does not provide enough information for a beginner.

What’s the mime type for these files?

According to what I read it is 3gpp/audio and 3gpp/video. I did find out that I had to download some new codex to my computer because the file is produced by Android and Microsoft left them out of their system.

Once I realized that 3gpp is a mime and that a mime is a label, your question made more sense to me.

    Thanks!

I was able to use the information to make the video work on my computer. But I still don’t know what to do with all this information to make it work in WordPress.
