When using the “Replace the file, use new file name and update all links” option, if both the old and new file have the same name, the new file name is modified to include something like “_1” on the new file. So myfile.pdf becomes myfile_1.pdf.

I don’t believe the plugin did this previously. It seems like the file name was kept the same when I first started using it.

Should the plugin be renaming the new file?

    Thanks!

    Hi Kurt,

Thanks for reporting this, I could actually reproduce this so I’m going to forward it to the developers so they can take a look at it.

    Thanks again!

We’re also experiencing this problem. It’s incrementing it with “-1” instead of above noted “_1”. (e.g. example.svg gets renamed to example-1.svg)

This happened both when using “Just replace the file” and “Replace the file, use new file name and update all links”.
