@codynew: depends on your setup. File Gallery works with WordPress attachments, so if you’re using a plugin to offload your images to Amazon S3, I think that should work just fine.

Please let me know how you’re thinking of handling the move so I can test it 😉

    Thanks @aesqe

I was going to look into using the Amazon S3 and Cloudfront plugin to host my files.

For me as its gonna be a big image gallery, the images are better off hosted at Amazon.

Would/could File Gallery import/reference those images instead?

    It didn’t seem to work.

The thumbnails are recognised in the admin, but when inserting the gallery on the front end it wont display and says empty

@codynew: I tested it locally today and everything works just fine. All new pictures have been transferred to S3 upon upload, and File Gallery displays them just fine.

Could you tell me what shortcode you are using?

Try disabling File Gallery and see if the images show up on the front end then.

@Aeque : it works to a point, but it seems that when I enable the “remove uploaded file from local filesystem once it has been copied to S3” (http://postimg.org/image/i8f1lqsiv/

… it seems to break the front end view.
