I’m setting up a Podcast. I’ve installed Seriously Simple Podcasting. My listeners are going to be quite touchy about the audio formats available. I will need to offer each episode in .mp3 and .ogg to keep them happy. I have no problem producing the content in both formats. What I’m not sure how to do is upload two formats of the same show and offer them to the audience?

    Can you help?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi there,

It’s not possible to support multiple file formats in the feed, so the podcast only officially handles one file (it can be any format you like). If you would like to add extra formats as download options then you can simply add them to the episode content using the built-in WordPress function by clicking the ‘Add Media’ button and inserting it that way. It won’t show up in the feed as the episode file, but it will be available for download. In future version of the plugin I’ll look into allowing multiple files for download more naturally.

Thanks for the speedy response. I can get by on that suggestion. The improvement you propose would be a very welcome feature.
