    Hi,

WPtouch does not call any of those files in the root directory of your site. Where are you seeing this error message?

These images are called by the Apple iPhone (and iPad) – Nothing to do with WPTouch at all

Example of user agent: Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; CPU iPhone OS 6_0_1 like Mac OS X) AppleWebKit/536.26 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/6.0 Mobile/10A523 Safari/8536.25

It’s bad behaviour by the Apple device – it should only look for these icons IF there are links in the <head> not by default.

It’s darn annoying! You can add these icons – in a range of sizes as it looks for different sizes as well
    /apple-touch-icon-144×144-precomposed.png
    /apple-touch-icon-144×144.png
    /apple-touch-icon-114×114-precomposed.png
    /apple-touch-icon-114×114.png
    /apple-touch-icon-72×72-precomposed.png
    /apple-touch-icon-72×72.png
    /apple-touch-icon-57×57-precomposed.png
    /apple-touch-icon-57×57.png

More info on using these icons http://developer.apple.com/library/ios/#documentation/AppleApplications/Reference/SafariWebContent/ConfiguringWebApplications/ConfiguringWebApplications.html
