# File directory plugin?

 * I’m looking for a plugin which displays a list of uploaded files (PDF and .doc).
   The listing would include the file name, title, caption and the description.
 * Optimally it would be great if people could also search the files, or browse 
   them by category (i.e. tags) or by date (either the date the files were uploaded
   or the date the PDF document was published).
 * I’m thinking of something which looks like wordpress’ plugin directory ([http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/](http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/)),
   but works for uploaded files. Any ideas of existing plugins which might do the
   trick?

 * I don’t know of a WP plugin, but Totalindex is a nice little script that will
   do most, if not all, of what you want. I use it on a few websites and it works
   well.
