 * I have been using Pods for over a year now and have not had any issues until
   now.
 * I use two pods on my site: one post type and one taxonomy. Both have about 5-
   6 fields. However, these fields now seem to be inaccessible in some instances.
 * For example:
    - The “Manage Pods” page now list 0 fields for both pods.
    - The fields are no longer shown on the “Manage Fields” page.
    - The fields for the custom post type ARE shown when creating a new instance
      of that post type.
    - The fields are also displayed (sometimes, but not always) in the “Add new”
      section of the edit custom taxonomy page.
    - The fields are no longer displayed on the “edit tag” page of the custom taxonomy.
 * No data seems to have been lost. The content of these fields is processed and
   shown in various places and ways throughout the site, and the site still displays
   correctly. I just can’t edit anything!
 * This problem appears to be consistent across browsers and between desktop and
   mobile. Everything was working (all fields were showing correctly) as of about
   a week ago. No upgrades happened in between then and now.
 * Help!!!

 * Have you tried going to Pods Admin > Settings > Clear Cache?

 * Hey! Thanks for your quick response. I did try clearing the cache. It did not
   solve the problem.
 * Disregard this… see below… [_Since writing the original post, the problem has
   actually gotten worse: none of the custom post type entries are now displaying
   at all. The permalinks now show a 404 error. Even when I try previewing entries
   from their edit pages, it just shows an error. The custom taxonomy is still displaying
   correctly however._]

 * Oh. My. Gosh.
 * The fields (and permalinks) are suddenly / randomly working again. …Sortof.
 * I deactivated/updated/re-activated the plugin that handles the custom post type
   permalinks. The fields are once again displayed on the edit page for the custom
   taxonomy entires.
 * Something in that plugin must have been causing problems.
 * However, the fields are still not appearing on the “edit pod” page (and the Pods
   Admin page still lists 0 fields for both pods), so I can’t remove or edit an
   existing field…

 * Sounds like you’re having some memory issues possibly, what hosting are you using?
   What does your Pods Admin > Settings screen say for details about your hosting(
   only need the lines down to “WP Memory Limit”)?

 * Great question, and I’m embarrassed to admit that I don’t know for sure. (The
   hosting was switched by the higher-ups to a different service and I was not involved
   with the process). I believe, however, that it is currently hosted by WP Engine.

 * As an interim solution, try installing Pods Alternative Cache [https://wordpress.org/plugins/pods-alternative-cache/](https://wordpress.org/plugins/pods-alternative-cache/)
 * Contact WPEngine and ask them to increase your memory limit for your site too.
