Support » Plugin: Easy Forms for Mailchimp » field no longer exists

I created a few forms using this add-in; and they work great!
On this particular form, I am having an issue with several MailChimp groups. After I add them to the form; and update the form, it says “field no longer exists” and does not display on my web page as a result. This is happening for a few group fields; however, most of them are still currently coming through. If I try to change the block on the page, I get an error, so I just leave it.
Another smaller issue is that I am unable to modify the ‘Save’ button text, which I did successfully on another form.
    Any ideas?
    Sincerely,
    Les

    Hi Les,

Are you using the Gutenberg block? When you see the error “Field no longer exists,” is this from the post edit screen (i.e. the Gutenberg block) or from the Easy Forms form builder page?

Also, when trying to change the Save button text, are you doing that from the Gutenberg block or from the form builder?

Did you recently add the interest groups in Mailchimp.com? If so, did you try clearing the API cache? (Instructions here: https://yikesplugins.com/support/knowledge-base/api-cache-settings/).

    Let us know.

    Thank you,
    Kevin.

    Hello Kevin,

Thank you for the reply. The ‘Field no longer exists’ is from the Easy Forms form builder page. There is a small triangle next to some of the MailChimp groups I have added to the page; and this error displays there.

If I go to the landing page that I am creating in WordPress and remove the MailChimp block with the form in question; then add another block, the message I get there is: “This block has encountered an error and cannot be previewed.”

So, to keep what I have active publically until this is resolved, I just abandon these changes.

    Sincerely,
    Les

    Hi Les,

Glad you’re using the Gutenberg block! You’re the first person to have a support question and mention they were using it.

    Two things.

First, can you confirm that the interest group that is showing an error in the Form Builder exists on your list on Mailchimp.com? Are we showing an incorrect error here? Does that interest group exist?

Second, is one of your interest groups a hidden interest group? There’s a known issue with hidden interest groups w/ the Gutenberg block. We have a fix for it but we haven’t released it yet.

    Let me know.

    Thank you,
    Kevin.

    Hello Kevin,

Yes, the interest group appears in MailChimp. The first is one of 5 that are not working in the Easy Forms form builder. It is the only one that was marked hidden in MailChimp. I changed it in MailChimp to visible; saved, cleared the API cache removed and readded it to the form; and updated the form and I still have the same 5 triangles. This is a checkbox type; 2 more are checkbox type; and the other 2 are radio type. Some checkbox and radio type group fields are working though.

    Thanks
    Les

    Hi Les,

This is unusual. What happens when you create a new form based on the same list? Do the interest groups still appear broken?

Let me know & apologies for the issue.

    All the best,
    Kevin.

    Hello Kevin,
Sorry for the delay; and I appreciate your support.
I recreated the entire form from scratch and at first it looks good; but then when I ‘update form’ I get the triangles next to those same fields, which are working fine in MailChimp itself.
    Any other ideas?
Or, let me know if you’d like to take a look.
    Thanks
    Les

I’d like to take a look if that’s okay with you. I haven’t seen this come up before.
