Support » Plugin: Forminator - Contact Form, Payment Form & Custom Form Builder » Field can’t be filled on mobile (iOS)

    User can’t type in email field on mobile (iOS, any browser I tried). On desktop is OK.

    The issue started as described on https://wordpress.org/support/topic/form-submission-failure-3/ (field can be filled but empty red bar error on sending on desktop too) then I deleted cache and now… you know.

    I guess it’s been after last update, but not sure. Tried disabling all plugins, doesn’t help.

    The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi @masvil

    Sorry to hear you are having this issue.

    We reported the problem to our developers, from what we found so far it is related indeed with some caching.

    Can you try the same steps that I suggested on this thread https://wordpress.org/support/topic/red-bar-for-form-submission/#post-14670062

    Let us know the result you got.
    Best Regards

    Hi @masvil

    Let me return on this.

    In case the steps don’t work for you, I do see the form is not fully loading on mobile.

    Tried disabling all plugins, doesn’t help.

    Had you tried to use a default WordPress theme too?

    Make sure to have a full backup before or use a staging site https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-staging/

    Hi Patrick,

    I reproduced all steps suggested on https://wordpress.org/support/topic/red-bar-for-form-submission/#post-14670062 without any result.

    Tomorrow I will try to use a default WordPress theme and I will be back to you.

    Thank you for your support!

    Hi Patrick,

    I’m using a staging site as you suggested. Thank you, I didn’t know about that plugin!

    I followed ALL steps you suggested and the only one to make Forminator working on mobile is switching to a WordPress theme.

    I’m pretty sure it’s been working until 1 month ago (when I’ve done last sending tests from mobile), so I guess the reason is last Theme update(s).

    Consider that the theme is a top seller on ThemeForest, so maybe you can be interested in a full compatibility. Please let me know if I should refer to the Theme’s dev or what.

    Hi @waqasshabir1

    Thank you for response!

    It seems then that there’s a confirmed conflict with the specific theme.

    We are, indeed, interested in making our plugins as widely compatible as possible and we do our best to achieve it but, I’m afraid, we can’t really test each and every premium theme. In this case it’s theme (most likely its last update) breaking Forminator rather than the other way around so it’d be best if you (as their customer) could report the issue to them.

    Kind regards,
    Adam

    Theme’s developer figured out the problem was the following CSS I got from here:

    /* Copy protection */
    * {
      -webkit-touch-callout: none; /* iOS Safari */
      -webkit-user-select: none; /* Safari */
      -khtml-user-select: none; /* Konqueror HTML */
      -moz-user-select: none; /* Old versions of Firefox */
      -ms-user-select: none; /* Internet Explorer/Edge */
       user-select: none; /* Non-prefixed version, currently supported by Chrome, Opera and Firefox */
    }

    Indeed code deleted and everything working good. Thank you for your support!
