Support » Plugin: WooCommerce Advanced Free Shipping » Few Scenarios, looking for options

Is there a way to add more advanced functionality to the rules? I’m only seeing the “or” option. “AND” would also be nice.

Basically I have three things I need to accomplish and it’s amazing the challenge I’ve faced:

    1) I’d like shipping to be free only if X amount is reached AND the items are from shipping class “1”

    2) If the order contains items only from shipping class “2”, then free shipping is not available, even if X is reached.

BUT 3) If the shipping charge for the “1” class exceeds X amount (thus justifying THOSE items for free shipping) but the cart contains “2” class items, I’d like to combine “free” with “2” class shipping rates

Said in another way: I have some items in my store with custom shipping cost because they are drop shipped and not in inventory. Let’s say I have free shipping set to 100$.

This is what I need to happen:

The customer has added only 50$ worth of 1 class items (10$ flat-rate) to the cart, and there is an item from class 2 ($7 flat rate) 40$. Shipping cost needs to be 17$.

Now let’s say that another customer adds 101$ worth of class 1 and a 10$ class 2 item (total order 111). Shipping needs to be 7$.

Third situation: Customer orders a 101$ worth of class 2. Shipping needs to be 7$.

Is there ANY way to accomplish this?

    Thank you!

  • AHA! I DID IT!

Re-installing the plugin added the + sign I was expecting.

First I set up the different shipping classes I needed. Then, I set all to “per class” so that the shipping classes would ALL be billed.

Then I EXCLUDED these classes from the free shipping. But it still seems to allow free shipping on the OTHER items, which is great.

It appears that everything is working as expected!

    Awesome. Great plugin.

Edit: It’s not working for some reason on international orders. Good lord! I think I could solve this with a table rate plugin though… will try tomorrow.

    Hi,

Glad to hear you’ve already managed to set this up mostly.

I didn’t follow everything, but please let me know if you can’t figure it all out and have any questions remaining!

    Have a great day!
