This website has elementor, elementor pro and woocommerce.
I have few issues with woocommerce, and I need urgent assist:

    1. I am getting a note saying: “An important update is required for WooCommerce
An important security update for WooCommerce has been released. It is recommended that you update as quickly as possible.”
Actually – no update is available.

    2. On Templates, single product, when going to “Display Conditions” – I can select “In Category” but can not select the specific category to use.
This cause the product to be display not as expected.

As said – this is urgent as this is a live customer website.
    Thanks

    Hi @hadarhacohen,

Thanks for reaching out, and I understand the urgency since this is a live site. Let’s go through your issues one by one:

    1. Important WooCommerce update notice

    • Sometimes this notice appears if the database update hasn’t been run yet after a WooCommerce update. Could you please go to WooCommerce → Status → Tools and look for the Update database option to see if it’s available?
    • Also, can you confirm the exact WooCommerce version currently installed (you can find this under Plugins or in WooCommerce → Status)?

    2. Elementor Display Conditions issue

    • The “In Category” condition and category selection are features handled by Elementor Pro rather than WooCommerce core. To narrow this down, could you let us know:
      • Which version of Elementor and Elementor Pro you’re running?
      • Do you see the same issue if you temporarily switch to a default theme (like Storefront) and try again?

Since part of this involves Elementor’s template display logic, their support team may also need to be involved, but we’ll be glad to help confirm whether WooCommerce itself is behaving correctly.

Could you please share a copy of your System Status Report? You can get a System Status Report by going to WooCommerce > Status > Get system report, then paste it into https://pastebin.com or https://gist.github.com

We’ll be able to advise further once we have those details.

    Thank for the fast response,

    1. – after using “Update database” tool – the note for “An important update is required for WooCommerce” still appear.
    1. – The woocommerce version is 10.1.0
    2. – I am using Elementor Version 3.31.2
    2. – I am using Elementor Pro Version 3.31.2
    2. – I tried the Storefront theme, and still can not select the category.

    I uploaded the status report:

    Regarding elementor support:
I guess I should ask elementor assist after clearing woocommerce.
    Is that so?

    Hi there!

Thank you for the update. To assist you further, could you please share a screenshot of the update notice you’re seeing so we can help you accordingly? You can use the following tool to capture and share the screenshot: https://snipboard.io.

Regarding the Elementor Display Conditions issue:
It would be a good idea to create a ticket with the Elementor support team and ask them to help you fix the issue. Since they know the plugin’s settings very well, they are in the best position to guide you in resolving this.

    Hi @hadarhacohen,

Thanks for providing the screenshots and details.

    1. WooCommerce “Important update required” notice: Even though you’re on WooCommerce 10.1.0 and have run the database update, the notice can persist due to cached data or expired transients. Please follow these steps to clear them:

    1. Clear WooCommerce Transients:
      • Go to your WordPress dashboard → WooCommerce → Status → Tools.
      • Find “Clear expired transients” and click Clear.
      • Also click Clear transients if that option is available.
    2. Clear Object/Database Cache (if applicable):
      • If your site uses a caching plugin (like WP Rocket, W3 Total Cache, or similar), clear all caches via the plugin settings.
      • If your hosting provider has server-side caching, log in to your hosting dashboard and clear the cache there as well.
    3. Clear Browser Cache:
      • Reload your WordPress dashboard in an incognito/private window, or clear your browser cache to ensure you’re seeing the latest version.
    4. Check the Update Notice:
      • After clearing all caches and transients, go back to your WooCommerce dashboard. The “Important update required” notice should disappear if your WooCommerce version is already up to date.

Let us know if in case the notice still appears after performing these steps.

    2. Elementor “In Category” display condition issue: Since switching to the Storefront theme didn’t resolve the problem, this is specific to Elementor Pro’s Display Conditions, not WooCommerce. You should contact Elementor support for assistance.

    (@hadarhacohen)

    1. I did the “Clear expired transients”, disabled the cache luging and purged my browser cache – the note is still there.

    2. before going to Elementor, I believe we need to clear the woocommerce first. Do you agree?

let me brief the last week activities I had, this might assist:
About a week ago I moved from PHP 8.1 to 8.3.
Few days after, I noticed that some products using same template, are showing same attributes, although the attributes are different. To solve this issue, I tried to delete the display conditions and re-define them again. At this point I found out that I can not set In Category condition.

    Does it give a clue?
