    1. First of all, i want to have 5 artices on my index page, but there have to be only introductions + links “more” to general articles. I would write this introductions. Ofcourse i want to have another news page. Is there any way to do that?
    2. I downloaded stick post plugin, turned on it, but i don’t know how to do my post sticked 🙂
    3. I need “Do you know…” and “Sentence…” fields, which have to display ranomly from list just done before.
    4. Nice gallery, forum, latest (recent) posts from forum, recent news, poll – with these, i suppose, there will be lesser problem. If someone knows any good plugin from this list, please give me the names :).

    thanks:)

yeah but i cant find some of these and i want you to give me the names of good plugins pt 4.

    1) on your theme’s index.php, consider using the_excerpt in place of the_content.

    2) Without knowing which plugin you tried, no way to respond. Try WP-Sticky?

    3) Not sure I follow

    4) Search here for the forum name you like and “integration”. Tons of posts. Some good posts recently about bbPress and WP integration that should be easily found.

    yah, thanks.
    1) how to view articles on my index, not even news? should i add only another category for news?

    3) would work like viewing some text in sidebar, randomly generated from list of texts.

    update:
i used excerpt, works well. but how to increase my 55 limit of words? and how to add *more* link

    (@handysolo)

Some tweaking for the_excerpt can be found on the link for it I provided earlier. However, for more flexibility, I’d suggest the_excerpt_reloaded plugin.

works great, thanks alot. where can i define number of posts in each category?

    Chris_K

    (@handysolo)

By default, that’d be Options -> Reading. However, that value applies to ALL pages.

If you want some categories to show more posts than others, you’ll want another plugin. 😉

Try this one: Custom Query String Plugin

ok last question i think.where can i set thing to have in my index page only posts from one category?

    Chris_K

    (@handysolo)

Another plugin! Two to choose from as I’m not sure which is best with 2.1.x

    Ultimate Category Excluder
    Category Visibility

    (@archas)

i cant find a plugin which would do the ‘members’, ‘users’ or something like that category. there should be photos and simple descriptions of people who helped making the page.

    Update:
where can i change names of levels? in my language translation (polish) there are some bugs.

I apologize, but I have to say this:

Codex is your friend. Read it. Love it. Have children with it. Whatever. But all of your answers are there.

i don’t see where can i change names of levels.
i dont also see here how to add a background in post…

    webDressing

    (@webdressing)

You could probably do that with CSS.

    Try background-image: URL here;

    (@archas)

first of all i want to have background in 1 post only. so i added a post in code:
    <p style=”background-image:url(‘blabla…’)”>text</p>
and of course didn’t work, but worked in visual window…
