    Hello,
is there any way to put the FEUP Login/Logout Toggle to the menue?
For example Login, if a confirmed user has successfully logged in then the login change to like “hello [First Name]” or “[Last Name]” whatever. When a User logs out it changes again to login.

Besides from this is there any actual tag list (you call it [field-slug]) for the Emails?
[First Name] [Last Name] [Username] nothing works and yes I tried everything like case sensitive or put a _ between etc.
Also some letters are unwanted seperated as if there is a ” ” in-between.

For Example “[section]Hello Administrator,[/section][section]You have received a new regis tration (here!) on your site[/section][section]The username for the new us er (Here!) is: [First Name] [Last Name][/section]
–> As mentioned the [First Name] or [Last Name] does not work as well.

    Thanks for your help!

    Greetings

    Hi calisthenics,

There’s no option in the plugin to add a dynamic menu item like that. You would need to make use of the available public functions that we offer. We created a tutorial video about how to use them, and it even includes an example of how to create a custom menu based on logged-in status. You can view it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bKiJAjq7PhQ&list=PLEndQUuhlvSolfe-rIpI3eK_TmfeEDPeH&index=9

As for the emails, you can need to use the field slugs, not the name. So let’s say the slug of your First Name field is first-name, then you would want to put [first-name].

Hello Jay Thank cou for your help so far!
If I create 2 different functions for the menu. One login and one logout. In which .php I have to code this? There is already a Public_Function_Code_Sample.php where the code explained as in the video is written. If I change the menu name to my manuename nothing works.
Do I have to write the function in the Public_Function.php? If yes where? just at the bottom still before the ?>

Sorry my programming skills are bad.

    Thank you very much!

    Hi calisthenics,

Admittedly, the public functions are an advanced feature, so a certain level/knowledge when it comes to coding is necessary to be able to make full use of them. That being said, I can tell you that you’d want to place the code directly where you want to use it. So, not in our plugin files, but, rather, usually either in your theme’s functions.php file or, in your case, for the menu, maybe in your theme’s header.php file.

    Thanks!

Found the spot in my theme where to put the code. Works perfectly
