Fetch JSON output

Is there a way i can fetch the event details by JSON? I’ve found this JSON API plugin on the website, but the download link sends me to a page where you can buy a licence, while the Addon is being offered for free.

Do i need to purchase a licens for this?
If so, is there another free way i can get the JSON output?
