I have a fetal error message that I am not sure why has happened because I didn’t make any changes to my wordpress website: cusopmillcottage.co.uk. Any help would be appreciated

Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Call to undefined function wp() in /home/peekaboo1949/public_html/cusopmillcottage.co.uk/wp-blog-header.php:16 Stack trace: #0 /home/peekaboo1949/public_html/cusopmillcottage.co.uk/index.php(22): require() #1 {main} thrown in /home/peekaboo1949/public_html/cusopmillcottage.co.uk/wp-blog-header.php on line 16

    Thank you

What did you to the site before it displayed this error?

Meanwhile try manually resetting your plugins (no Dashboard access required). If that resolves the issue, reactivate each one individually until you find the cause.

If that does not resolve the issue, access your server via SFTP or FTP, or a file manager in your hosting account’s control panel, navigate to /wp-content/themes/ and rename the directory of your currently active theme. This will force the default theme to activate and hopefully rule-out a theme-specific issue (theme functions can interfere like plugins).

    Hi t-p

    Thank for for your guidance.

the website was showing a http 500 error so after reading some stuff on the Internet, I tried to restore a backup of the website, which I had used before and worked fin but this time I had a fetal error.

I will follow your links to see if I can reset the plugins.

    Thank you

I am trying to reset my plugins manually in order to be able to login the the dashboard after a fetal error in my original message.

After going to PHPMyAdmin to disable the plugins as described in the link I was given I need to replace the option_value field to: a:0:{}, which I am not entirely sure how to do because this field only allows a drop down menu of specific options.

    Any guidance is appreciated

    Thank you, Charlotte

    That’s one method.

OR, as described i that link, you you can also deactivate using a second method Or reset your plugins folder via FTP or the file manager provided in your host’s control panel. This method preserves plugin options but requires plugins be manually reactivated

    Hello t-p

The tutorial was easy to follow, however, I have tried both methods using the FTP Manager and the PHPMyAdmin and I still cant login to my dashboard because I am getting the following message:

Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Call to undefined function nocache_headers() in /home/peekaboo1949/public_html/cusopmillcottage.co.uk/wp-admin/admin.php:33 Stack trace: #0 /home/peekaboo1949/public_html/cusopmillcottage.co.uk/wp-admin/index.php(10): require_once() #1 {main} thrown in /home/peekaboo1949/public_html/cusopmillcottage.co.uk/wp-admin/admin.php on line 33

I think this message is showing me there is something wrong with the admin.php? Is there anything else I can try?

    Thank you, Charlotte
